My name is Cory Taylor. I’m a graduate student at the University of Iowa, studying Religious Studies and working for the UI’s Digital Studio for the Public Humanities. I’m currently a TA for Robert Cargill, Paul Dilley, and Ahmed Souaiaia‘s “Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.” I’m married to Abigail, the most wonderful woman in the world, with whom I have a beautiful baby daughter, Elley. I’d very much like to know what your favorite band is, and why.
A note on the content of this blog: I have wide-ranging academic interests, which my blog reflects. Currently, I am interested in Hebrew Bible form criticism, Deutero-Isaiah, evolutionary religious studies, early Christianities, Ancient Near Eastern languages and archaeology, and anthropology. I try to post original academic content as much as possible; however, I frequently intersperse original posts with links to press releases, websites, and other blogs that I find interesting.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you’ll join in the conversation.
Favorite band: Dire Straits. Don’t know why. Great guitar, great lyrics.
Mana…. I would be surprised if you’ve heard of them before.
